Daniel 6:23

King James Version (1769)

23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
Untruth

Misinterpretations of Daniel 6:23 often include the prosperity gospel view that faith guarantees physical safety and prosperity in all circumstances, ignoring biblical examples like faithful martyrs who suffered; others reduce the miracle to natural explanations such as the lions being satiated or tame, stripping away God's supernatural intervention; or claim it proves moral innocence alone ensures protection, overlooking the passage's emphasis on faith amid a politically motivated plot against Daniel.

Truth

Daniel 6:23 reveals the core truth of God's faithful protection for those who trust Him completely, as Daniel emerges unscathed from the lions' den not by human means but because 'he believed in his God,' illustrating divine deliverance for unwavering faith amid persecution and underscoring that God's power overrides natural dangers when His people rely solely on Him.
