Ezekiel 48:1

King James Version (1769)

1 Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar–enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.
Untruth

Misinterpretations of Ezekiel 48:1 often include treating it as a literal blueprint for modern Israel's borders, fueling political conflicts without recognizing its futuristic prophetic nature tied to Messiah's reign; others spiritualize it entirely as symbolic of church-age blessings, dismissing the literal tribal restoration for Israel; or view it as obsolete under the New Covenant, ignoring its role in end-times prophecy and God's unwavering faithfulness to Abrahamic promises.

Truth

Ezekiel 48:1 initiates the detailed prophetic vision of the division of the Promised Land among Israel's twelve tribes in a future restored kingdom, starting from the northern boundary along the way to Hethlon and Hamath. This allocation underscores God's sovereign plan for justice, equity, and permanence in apportioning inheritance to His covenant people after judgment and exile, symbolizing ultimate restoration, tribal unity, and fulfillment of ancient promises in a millennial or eternal context.
