Misinterpretations often treat this verse as promoting a works-righteousness salvation where human efforts to achieve sinless perfection or moral holiness earn God's presence, ignoring that biblical holiness is God's transformative work in believers enabled by grace through faith; others misconstrue pursuing peace as compromising doctrinal truth or tolerating sin to avoid conflict, rather than seeking reconciliation while upholding righteousness.
Hebrews 12:14

Hebrews 12:14 exhorts believers to diligently pursue peace with everyone while cultivating holiness in their lives, underscoring that without holiness no one can experience true fellowship with or vision of the Lord, highlighting holiness as an essential mark of authentic faith and necessary for eternal communion with God.
