Isaiah 46:13

King James Version (1769)

13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
Untruth

This verse is often misinterpreted as a promise of immediate material prosperity or political victory for modern Israel without regard for spiritual repentance, or as endorsing human self-righteousness that earns salvation rather than God's gift through faith; another error views it exclusively as an unfulfilled future event ignoring its partial realization in Christ's coming and the church as spiritual Zion, thus distorting the emphasis on divine initiative over human effort.

Truth

God declares that His righteousness and salvation are imminent and will not be delayed, promising to establish salvation in Zion specifically for Israel as a manifestation of His glory, underscoring His sovereign timing, faithfulness to His covenant people, and the centrality of Jerusalem in His redemptive plan amid prophecies of judgment and restoration.
