Jeremiah 33:13

King James Version (1769)

13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the Lord.
Untruth

Misinterpretations often reduce the verse to a mere literal forecast of agricultural recovery focused on sheep herding, overlooking its broader prophetic symbolism of national and spiritual restoration for Israel; others apply it exclusively to modern Israel as a guarantee of current political dominance without regard for its conditional fulfillment tied to repentance and exile's end, or spiritualize it into vague personal blessings detached from its covenantal context for Judah.

Truth

This passage conveys God's promise of restoration and renewal to the land of Judah, envisioning a future where flocks abundantly pass under the shepherd's hands for counting across the cities of the mountains, valleys, south, Benjamin, Jerusalem, and Judah, symbolizing peace, prosperity, and careful divine oversight after judgment and exile, affirming Yahweh's faithfulness in rebuilding what was broken.
