Revelation of John 22:2

King James Version (1769)

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Untruth

Misinterpretations often treat the tree literally as a present-day botanical source of miracle drugs or fruits for physical health, ignoring its symbolic role in the eschatological vision; others limit the twelve fruits to Jewish exclusivity, missing their representation of divine completeness accessible to all; or view the healing solely as medical cures, overlooking the deeper spiritual reconciliation and wholeness among nations in eternity.

Truth

This verse depicts the glorious provision in the New Jerusalem, where the tree of life flanks the river on both sides, bearing twelve kinds of fruit monthly for unending sustenance and offering leaves for the healing of the nations, symbolizing God's abundant restoration, eternal nourishment, and reconciliation for all peoples in the renewed creation, fulfilling the promise of life without curse or death.
